NOTE ON EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Because our goal is to assist our clients in achieving self-sufficiency, the Mano a Mano Family Center does not provide emergency financial assistance, at this time. We will, however, direct our clients to organizations who might or to any available employment opportunities.
NOTE ON IMMIGRATION SERVICES
At this time, our immigration services are limited to free consultations with a local attorney, once a month, and general information about current issues and procedures. We do not handle immigration cases or fill out immigration documents.
Immigration law is extremely complicated. The only people with the knowledge and expertise to answer any case-specific questions, or to PROPERLY fill out any and all immmigration documents from USCIS (formerly INS), in our area, are immigration attorneys. Attorneys and selected community organizations who are approved by immigration to assist clients with their immigration cases receive the appropriate training from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Most translators or public notaries are NOT certified or knowledgeable enough to handle immigration cases and/or documentation -- use them at your own risk. We recommend our clients to try and fill out their applications by themselves or through their attorney. If you are struggling to do this on your own, contact us.
No one can guarantee the outcome of your immigration case! Please report any individual or business that claims to guarantee your approval based on a fee they charge. Contact us if you feel you have been a victim of fraud or abuse.

NOTA SOBRE AYUDA ECONOMICA DE EMERGENCIA
Dado a que la meta del Centro Familiar Mano a Mano es la de ayudar a nuestros clientos a valerse por si mismos, nosotros no proveemos ayuda economica en este momento. Si necesita de esta ayuda, contactenos para dirigirlo a otras organizaciones que ofrecen dicha ayuda o para informacion sobre oportunidades de empleo.
NOTA SOBRE NUESTRO SERVICIO DE MIGRACION
Nuestros servicios de migracion estan limitados a consultas gratis con un abogado local, experto en migracion, asi como tambien informacion en general sobre temas de interes y leyes de migracion -- no consejo legal. No ayudamos a llenar solicitudes de migracion.
Las leyes de migracion son muy complicadas. Las unicas personas con un conocimiento pleno de la ley y como afecta a su caso especifico, y para llenar adecuadamente solicitudes, en nuestra area, son los abogados de migracion. Los abogados, asi como varias organizaciones que son aprovadas por la Migracion (USCIS) para manejar dichos casos, reciben el entrenamiento adecuado para hacer su trabajo.
La mayoria de traductores y de notarios publicos NO tienen la aprobacion o el conocimiento necesario para manejar casos individuales o cualquier documentacion relacionada. Les recomendamos a nuestros clientes que intenten llenar sus documentos por si mismos, con ayuda de un familiar o amigo que sabe ingles, o por medio de su abogado.
